On December 2, voters in Georgia will choose between vehemently anti-choice Sen. Saxby Chambliss and pro-choice challenger Jim Martin. This race is extremely important to pro-choice Americans, as a Martin win will increase our gains in the U.S. Senate. But we spent nearly every dime we had during the general election. Please donate today to help us win this special election!
Richard Honaker, one of Pres. Bush's anti-choice nominees for a lifetime judgeship, acknowledged that his nomination will expire. "Working in partnership with NARAL Pro-Choice Wyoming, we were proud to channel more than 65,000 messages from across the country in opposition to Honaker's nomination," NARAL Pro-Choice America president Nancy Keenan said. These messages were instrumental in blocking Honaker's appointment.
Not only did we get our next pro-choice president with the election of President-Elect Obama, but we also picked up seats in Congress and defeated three anti-choice ballot measures! Read about all of our 2008 election victories.
