Summary
The executive director is the lead staff position for this non-profit that includes a 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4)
organization. The organizations also include two Political Action Committees (state and federal). The
total annual budget is approximately $1 million.
The executive director must be passionately pro-choice, supporting the reproductive rights and health of
all people. S/he supervises 10-20 full- and part-time staff, manages the budget, overall work plan and
implementation of the annual goals as established by the board of directors. The executive director also
staffs the board. Responsibilities include fiscal and governance due diligence and oversight; fundraising;
political advocacy; planning; communication about the issues locally, regionally and nationally; and
networking with ally organizations and NARAL Pro-Choice America and its affiliates.

Qualifications
- Must be knowledgeable about reproductive rights, health, and justice; experience in the area is
preferred - Professional training and education with at least five years of experience in nonprofit or political
management - Professional training and/or education in one of the following: planning, public administration,
business, social science, law, politics, project management, or related field - At least five years of successful fundraising experience, including individual solicitation
- Professional training and/or experience with budgeting and financial management
- Demonstrated experience and success in working with all types of media and public relations,
including spontaneous public speaking about controversial matters - Ability to think strategically, plan, and effectively communicate strategies to the organization’s
staff and Board of Directors - Fluent in written and spoken English
- Personal transportation and valid driver’s license
- Recent campaign and/or lobbying experience

- Salary range: $65,000 – 80,000, DOE
