Did you know that Connecticut was the only state with a legislative session that did not consider anti-choice legislation in 2006?
In 2006, every state with a regular legislative session considered anti-choice legislation, except Connecticut. However, pro-choice advocates are still working hard to ensure that the full range of reproductive health options is available to Connecticut women. In March of 2006 the State General Assembly Public Health Committee failed to send bill 445 to the senate that would have ensured that rape survivors would receive emergency contraception in hospital emergency rooms. Advocates hope the bill will pass in 2007.
