Did you know that the March for Women's Lives was the largest abortion rights gathering in American history?
Over one million people gathered in the nation's capital on April 25, 2004 to raise their voices in support of women's reproductive rights. The march demonstrated that an overwhelming majority of Americans believe it is a woman's right to make private medical decisions about her health. In a time when threats to choice have never been more serious, support for women's reproductive health has never been more crucial.
The March for Women's Lives was the collaborative efforts of seven leading national women's rights organizations and an array of progressive co-sponsors. NARAL Pro-Choice America worked with the other organizations to lay the groundwork for this historic march memorializing the gravity of the situation for women in America and all over the world.
