Stand up against anti-choice extremism on August 28!
Dr. Tiller's murder in May was a stark reminder of the danger that abortion providers encounter every day. Women accessing their legal right to abortion—and the providers who make this possible—should never be targets of violence.
Even in the face of continued harassment and threats, Dr. Leroy Carhart of Nebraska isn't giving up. That's why Operation Rescue and other local anti-choice groups are launching a demonstration outside his reproductive-health center on August 28. This means women will have to endure intimidation and taunts as they seek to enter Dr. Carhart's health center. Check out this segment from The Rachel Maddow Show for more information.
Of course, most of us can't be in Nebraska in person. So we're holding a virtual rally on August 28 to show support for Dr. Carhart, his staff, his patients, and all reproductive health-care professionals. Here are easy ways you can participate:
