it allows woman to choose the best time to begin a family. Not only does it let a woman make healthy choices for herself, but these choices will ensure her current and/or future children are raised in a family that is best able to provide emotionally, as well as financially for them. It aides the health of the next generations.

Women and men may have an equal responsibility to behave appropriately, maturely and civilly, but because only women can get pregnant, it is critical that women have safe, reliable access to birth control. Women must be responsible for their bodies and therefore need access to the tools necessary for a healthy, safe and responsible lifestyle. One of those tools is birth control.

I am a grandmother now but when I was younger my husband and I decided together that we only could afford three children after the third child I went on the pill till I could get my tubes tied. We knew we could not raise any more than that and give them everything they needed. I have three daughters and two of them are in relationships and use birth control though I have 5 grandchildren they feel that is their limit.

In a few weeks I will be in my 22nd year of life. I have about a good 30 years of fertility ahead of me. Therefore, I care about access to adequate health care, including family planning information and services. Having friends and sisters of mine who were younger than me when they had their first babies have made me aware of how important the responsiblities of parenting are. Therefore, I support birth control access and education for all women when they need it.

all children born should be wanted and planned by their parents. If nothing else, we all deserve to at least start off in life as wanted.

In no other situation besides pregnancy is a person's right to determine what happens to her own body even questioned. If you can prevent yourself from getting pregnant, your body never gets hijacked.
