I remember when I was a little girl at age 10 an anti-abortion woman lived next door.  I used to play in her yard with the other neighborhood children every day. One day she brought out very disturbing and graphic pictures of abortions and aborted fetuses.  She told me that I was very lucky that my mother loved me so much that she let me live instead of killing me like the kids in the pictures parents have.  I was scared, shocked and confused. This was the 1st time I have ever heard of such a thing. I ran home and told my mother everything.  After a very angry and heated conversation with my neighbor, my mother sat me down and explained some of the reasons why women get abortions, and some in depth detail of what would happen if women didn't have that choice.  She grew up next door to a back-ally abortion house.  She also said that no matter what the reasons were it was their choice, their right. She helped me understand that women are in charge of their own life and choices.  Ever since then I have been pro-choice.
