Sen. Orrin Hatch is the Republican candidate in the Senate race in Utah. He is the incumbent.

Sen. Hatch is anti-choice.

• Sen. Hatch earned a 0-percent score in NARAL Pro-Choice America's 2011 Congressional Record on Choice.

• Voted to block Planned Parenthood from receiving any federal funds, which would have denied millions of Americans access to contraception, cancer screenings, and other basic medical care.

• Voted for a budget bill that would have cut funding for contraception and cancer screenings, made it harder for low-income women in D.C. to choose abortion care, and eliminated family-planning programs for the world's poorest women.

• Sen. Hatch received a 100-percent rating from the National Right to Life Committee in 2011.

• On his congressional website, Sen. Hatch writes: "Without the right to life, all other rights are meaningless, and for that reason, I have always been strongly opposed to abortion. During congressional debate on this subject, I informed my colleagues that ten times the number of American lives in all of our nation's wars have been lost in the continuing tragedy of abortion."
