Voted twice to block Planned Parenthood from receiving any federal funds, which would have denied millions of Americans access to contraception, cancer screenings, and other basic medical care.
Voted to allow hospitals to refuse to provide emergency abortion care to women who could die without it.
On the 2011 anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Rep. Bilirakis said: "I believe in the sanctity of human life, both born and unborn, and will continue supporting measures that respect human life and encourage alternatives to abortion. I'll also continue to oppose legislation that would allow public funds to be used for abortions."
Endorsed by the Florida Right to Life PAC in 2012.
