Voted for H.R.3, a bill that would ban abortion coverage in state health-insurance exchanges; impose tax penalties on small businesses and many individuals who purchase private health plans that include abortion coverage; and make permanent several restrictions that block many women from accessing abortion care.
Voted to allow hospitals to refuse to provide emergency abortion care to women who could die without it.
On his congressional website, Rep. Jones stated: "Thirty-nine years have passed since the Supreme Court made one of the worst decisions in our nation's history when it ruled on Roe v. Wade. Since that ruling, over 54 million innocent unborn children have been killed by the hands of abortionists. I thank those who have come from all over the nation to attend this year's march and I stand alongside you for those who cannot stand for themselves."
