Voted against H.R.3, a bill that would ban abortion coverage in state health-insurance exchanges; impose tax penalties on small businesses and many individuals who purchase private health plans that include abortion coverage; and make permanent several restrictions that block many women from accessing abortion care.
Voted to ensure that hospitals must provide emergency abortion care to women who could die without it.
On his congressional website, Rep. Brady states: "I believe that there exists a fundamental constitutional right to choose whether or not to have a child, and have worked throughout my career to protect the right to choose. I believe that the decision to have a child should be made by a woman, her family, and her doctor, and not by me or any other politician."
