NARAL Pro-Choice America is the political leader of the pro-choice movement. We mobilize a membership of more than one million activists and supporters throughout the country.

We play a unique role that other progressive organizations cannot play in elections: reaching Republican and Independent pro-choice voters and persuading them to vote for pro-choice candidates, regardless of party affiliation. NARAL Pro-Choice America  educates and turns out our members and activists in support of our endorsed candidates through volunteer phone banks, direct mail, email, and door-to-door outreach.

In 2008, NARAL Pro-Choice America will:

• Protect the gains we made in 2006 and elect even more pro-choice candidates, especially a pro-choice president.
  
• Target anti-choice incumbents for defeat in key presidential battleground states like Michigan, Nevada, Iowa, Pennsylvania, and Florida.
  
• Identify and turn out more than one million pro-choice Independent and Republican voters to cross party lines and support pro-choice candidates for the U.S. House, U.S. Senate, and the presidency.
