• Representative Bill Foster was elected to House of Representatives in March of 2008 when he won a special election filling the seat of Representative Dennis Hastert.
• Representative Foster is fully pro-choice.
• Representative Foster is being challenged by anti-choice Jim Oberweis, a securities firm executive and dairy company owner.  The Chicago Sun Times reported on November 18, 2007, that "Two hundred protesters picketed peacefully outside a controversial Planned Parenthood center Saturday in Aurora, following police orders by staying out of the street and off residential sidewalks…Two Republican candidates for the 14th Congressional District, Jim Oberweis and state Sen. Chris Lauzen, were at the rally."
