Representative Tom Udall, who currently represents New Mexico's 3rd district, is running to fill Senator Pete Domenci's seat, who is retiring.
Representative Udall is running against Representative Steve Pearce, who has received a 0% pro-choice rating from NARAL Pro-Choice America. Representative Pearce is unrelentingly anti-choice. He opposes not just legal abortion but also votes against every prevention measure proposed. On his website, Pearce states: "I believe strongly in the sanctity of life and protecting the most vulnerable among us – the unborn. In Congress, I have consistently opposed efforts to provide federal funding for pro-abortion groups such as Planned Parenthood and I have stood firm in supporting laws that ban cloning."
Representative Udall is fully pro-choice and received a 100% pro-choice rating from NARAL Pro-Choice America.
Representative Udall is a co-sponsor of the Prevention First Act.
