NARAL Pro-Choice America Congratulates Sen. Patty Murray
Washington, D.C. – Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, praised Washington voters for re-electing NARAL Pro-Choice America PAC-endorsed candidate Sen. Patty Murray to continue to represent them in the U.S. Senate.
“Sen. Patty Murray is an effective and powerful voice for a woman’s right to choose, and we look forward to working with her for another six years,” Keenan said. “Sen. Murray always stands up for her pro-choice values, and that provided a clear contrast with an extreme anti-choice candidate who opposes legal abortion and even improved access to contraception. We can count on Sen. Murray to stand with us in fighting back against anti-choice politicians who attack women’s reproductive-health care.”
NARAL Pro-Choice America PAC contributed $10,000 to Sen. Patty Murray’s campaign. In addition, the organization mobilized through email and text messaging its 24,014 member activists in Washington state in support of Sen. Murray’s re-election efforts. NARAL Pro-Choice America also featured Sen. Murray on BlogForChoice.com, its website, and its Facebook page.
