Did you know that the Minnesota legislature attempted to pass a bill protecting a woman's right to choose?
In 2009, the
The bill makes the protections of Roe v. Wade permanent in state law. It would protect a woman’s choice either to carry a pregnancy to term or choose abortion prior to viability. After viability, the bill allows for health exemptions for the woman.
However, the bill never reached a floor vote. Hopefully, pro-choice state lawmakers will continue to pursue this legislation.
