Public Facilities and Employees Restriction
A woman may not obtain abortion care at any medical facility, hospital, or clinic owned, leased, or operated by the University of Kansas Hospital Authority unless the procedure is necessary to preserve the woman's life or prevent a "serious risk of substantial and irreversible impairment of a major bodily function." Kan. Stat. Ann. § 76-3308(i) (Enacted 1998).
No public funds may be expended on abortion, either by a state agency or a state employee acting within the scope of employment. S.B. 294, 85th Leg., Reg. Sess. (Kan. 2012) (Enacted 2012).
