Statement from NARAL Pro-Choice America on Kirsten Gillibrand
Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, issued the following statement regarding Gov. David Paterson's appointment of Rep. Kirsten Gillibrand to serve in the U.S. Senate.
"We enthusiastically supported and endorsed Kirsten Gillibrand as a congressional candidate, and we look forward to continuing to work with her in the Senate. As the newest senator from New York, she will carry forward the tradition of Secretary Hillary Clinton and Sen. Charles Schumer in representing the pro-choice values of her state and the nation."
