"Confirming a Justice as radical as Janice Rogers Brown to a court as powerful as the D.C. Circuit will be a permanent blot on the record of this Senate," Keenan said. Among Janice Rogers Brown's many egregious rulings is her lone dissent in a case involving the Women’s Contraceptive Equity Act, asserting that its requirements do not apply equally to all women and defending the right of employers to deny their female employees such basic health services. Keenan said Rogers Brown's striking disregard for women's health and access to birth control was alarming.
