Day Three: Roberts Continues to Dodge Fair Questions on Fundamental Freedoms, Privacy
(Washington, DC) – Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, said John Roberts failed to give complete answers to questions on whether he believes the right to privacy includes a woman’s right to choose.
"Anti-choice groups and talking heads that want to see Roe v. Wade overturned continue to cheer John Roberts' non-responses to questions on a woman's right to choose. This unwavering support from those who know John Roberts best shows they believe they can count on him to roll back women's reproductive freedom," Keenan said.

Judge Roberts refused to give hints or projections about how he might evaluate a future abortion case before the Court, but carefully stated what the law is on the matter of stare decisis and repeatedly pledged to follow the rule of law. Also, in questions about the issue of privacy, Judge Roberts explained that the Constitution in numerous areas addresses protections for privacy." FRC Applauds John Roberts' Roe v.
