47 states, the District of Columbia, and the federal government allow certain individuals or entities to refuse to provide women specific health services, information, or referrals: AK, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, WV, WY. |
Only 3 states do not give individuals or entities the ability to refuse to provide patients with reproductive health services: AL, NH, VT. |
