When I was 19 years-old I became pregnant. While I was in love with my then boyfriend, whom I later married, I knew that this was not the time for me to have a child and it would not have been fair to that child to have been born at that time in his or her parent's lives.
Fortunately I had a choice. I decided to terminate the pregnancy and did so as a logical, rational decision. I dedicated myself to my education and my career. I worked for 25 years in advertising rising to President of an ad agency. I never looked back on that decision to question it. I look back on the fact that I had a choice and I made the one that was right for me. I now have a 19 year-old daughter and she knows my story and she understands the responsibility that comes with a sexual relationship. It is important for me that she has a choice and makes the one that is best for her.
We both believe that this is a decision for a woman to make, not our government and together we support a women's right to choose.
