Why do I support a women's right to choose? Having grown up in the late 50's early 60's, I had heard of stories of women who had suffered at the hands of back-door clinics to have an abortion and in many cases, what I heard was horrific. I can not imagine what and how much pain one goes through to reach the decision they reach. I do not for one minute believe any woman making this decision does so lightly. I also believe that in most cases, they reach this decision based not only what is right for them, but also with regards to the welfare of the child they would give life to. I also believe many of these are unselfish decisions a woman makes because of the life the child would of had to endure. As a man, I don't feel I have the right to tell another person how to live their life any more that they have the right to tell me. We make our decisions on what we believe to be right for us not for eveyone else, they need to determine that themselves.
Thank-you for your tireless efforts to ensure women have the right to determine the fate of their own bodies and to the welfare of the child they would bring into this world.
