When I was eighteen I became pregnant by my boyfriend. At that time abortion was illegal in the US. I choose to go to Juarez, Mexico, where abortions were easily obtained. I am lucky to have survived! I will never forget that experience and the horrible pain I had to endure. I hope our country never returns those days! Abortion will not go away—it will simply go underground and woman will suffer.
