I was pro-life, came from a family who preached abortion as evil. However, when I became pregnant with my first child, I realized just how hard carrying a child was, the damage to your body, the emotional wreak and, worst of all of it, the pain of giving my child up for adoption because I couldn't afford to care for her. She's turning 2 soon. I realized just how hard it is to be young, pregnant and single, and I now know no woman should ever be forced to carry a child. I suffered the consequences of my own belief and learned exactly what being pro-life was trying to force on others.
