NARAL Pro-Choice America Responds To Latest Medicare Doctor Fix Bill

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 24, 2015

Statement of Ilyse Hogue, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America:

“This bill advances a bad policy that harms women and families and should be rejected by the House. Women and families, especially those with lesser means, deserve access to full reproductive health care. When we single out the most vulnerable in our society from receiving care, it leaves a stain on the idea of freedom and prosperity that our country was founded upon. This bill is yet another in a long series of bills that are a premeditated, coordinated and sustained attack on women’s health care and advance the far-right wing goal of banning abortion all together.”

NARAL Pro-Choice America and its network of state affiliates are dedicated to protecting and expanding reproductive freedom for all Americans. NARAL works to guarantee that every woman has the right to make personal decisions regarding the full range of reproductive choices, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and choosing legal abortion. In recognition of its work defending our constitutional right to choose, Fortune Magazine described NARAL as “one of the top 10 advocacy groups in America.”
