Today, in conjunction with the House Judiciary Committee hearing on Planned Parenthood’s clinic practices, NARAL Pro-Choice America released a video that highlights the anti-choice community’s history of lying to Congress.
Sasha Bruce, senior vice president at NARAL Pro-Choice America, had this to say:
“Anti-choice politicians will stop at nothing to shame women and abortion providers in a shallow attempt to ban all abortion. Today’s hearing is nothing more than a disgraceful display of deceitful pandering.
“It is no surprise that the National Right to Life and its cronies have a history attending these hearings and lying through their teeth. This video not only proves how far these witnesses will go to influence the discussion, but how out of touch the members who invite them to speak are. American families deserve better than members of Congress who perpetuate this despicable culture. It’s time for this history of scheming and lies to end.”
