NARAL Pro-Choice America PAC today announced its endorsements of Reps. Tim Walz (MN-01), Betty McCollum (MN-04), Keith Ellison (MN-05), and Rick Nolan(MN-08) in their bids for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives. Each candidate has a perfect pro-choice voting record and has proven to be a steadfast ally in the fight for reproductive freedom.
“By standing up for our reproductive freedom, pushing back against GOP attempts to limit access to basic healthcare, and opposing partisan efforts to defund Planned Parenthood, Representatives Walz, McCollum, Ellison, and Nolan have proven themselves to be fierce advocates for Minnesota women and families,” said Sasha Bruce, senior vice president for campaigns and strategy at NARAL Pro-Choice America. “With GOP leaders like Donald Trump and Mike Pence at the top of the Republican ticket, the stakes could not be higher for women and our ability access basic reproductive healthcare, including abortion. NARAL is proud to stand with our allies as they continue their fight for Americans’ reproductive freedom.”
“I am proud to support our pro-choice members of Congress for re-election,” said Andrea Ledger, Executive Director of NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota. “In the past two years, we have seen unprecedented attacks on women’s health care and abortion rights, but Keith Ellison, Betty McCollum, Rick Nolan, and Tim Walz have continually stood up on behalf of Minnesota women and families. NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota looks forward to their continued leadership in fighting to ensure that women have access to a full range of reproductive health options, from contraception to abortion care.”
In addition to today’s endorsements, NARAL previously announced its endorsement of Angie Craig in her campaign for Congress.
