NARAL Pro-Choice America PAC today announced its endorsement of Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick in her campaign for U.S. Senate. Kirkpatrick is challenging anti-choice incumbent Sen. John McCain.

McCain’s extreme, anti-woman agenda and seeks to be the leader that Arizonan women and families deserve,” said Sasha Bruce, senior vice president for campaigns and strategy at NARAL Pro-Choice America. “Ann Kirkpatrick will not only make history as the first woman elected to the U.S. Senate in Arizona, but she will also continue to lead with her values and stand up for women and families across the state. For far too long, Arizonans have had to put up with politicians who push extreme, anti-choice agendas in order to advance their extreme ideology. Ann Kirkpatrick is running because she knows Arizonans deserve a leader who reflects their priorities and we couldn’t be more proud to support her campaign for Senate.”

With her perfect pro-choice voting record and consistent support for women and families, Kirkpatrick is a steadfast ally in the fight for our reproductive freedom. She has fought against GOP efforts to defund Planned Parenthood and worked to ensure access to basic reproductive health care services, including abortion. Her opponent, incumbent Sen. John McCain, has done the opposite and has a long record of pushing anti-choice policies.
