In final push, NARAL increases ad buys in NH, PA and NV Senate races

Digital ads to target Ayotte, Toomey, and Heck–Tying them to Trump

NARAL Pro-Choice America announced today it is upping its ad buys in New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Nevada Senate races. In digital ads, targeting key persuadable voters, NARAL ties each candidate to Donald Trump and says they can’t run or hide from their support for the nominee of their party.

The ads highlight that Sens. Ayotte and Toomey and Congressman Heck stood with Donald Trump when he mocked a disabled reporter, attacked a Gold Star family, and said he’d punish women who have an abortion. The ads also say that while the candidates may use different words than Trump, their policy agendas are the same.

The ads are part of a now $400,000 digital ad campaign in the states.

“Two weeks before election day, Republicans are trying to run away from Donald Trump as fast as humanly possible,” said Sasha Bruce, Senior Vice President of Campaigns and Strategy for NARAL. “It will not work. For more than a year now, Trump has spewed hateful and dangerous rhetoric and proposed policies that will set women back decades and Republicans have enabled him. We’re going to remind voters every day between now and election day that these Republicans share an agenda with Trump and, if elected, will do nothing but enable his reckless and scary agenda.”

NARAL is targeting persuadable voters in the states based off of a new voter model that uses polling that shows that 7 in 10 voters believe abortion should be legal. By using this new model and polling data, the ads will be highly targeted towards persuasion voters and will be seen by them at a high penetration rate between now and Election Day.
