NARAL on Today’s SCOTUS Hearing: Nothing New from Gorsuch

NARAL Pro-Choice America President Ilyse Hogue released the following statement in response to today’s Supreme Court confirmation hearing:

“Judge Gorsuch was so evasive, arrogant, and unresponsive at his hearings that if a senator asked him if today was Wednesday, he would have refused to answer. His two days of testimony have revealed nothing new. We already know about his extreme record, especially on women’s health, and during his performance he acted more like a politician than a judge. Senate Democrats must filibuster this nomination—if it goes forward at all. 

“What needs to happen immediately is for the senate to delay the nomination given the bombshell revelations that the FBI is actively investigating the man and administration that selected Judge Gorsuch to serve on the bench.”
