NARAL Pro-Choice America Thanks Sen. Merkley for Standing With the People Against Gorsuch

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 5, 2017

Today, Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR) held the floor for nearly 16 hours to protest Judge Neil Gorsuch’s nomination to the Supreme Court. NARAL Pro-Choice America President Ilyse Hogue issued the following statement thanking Sen. Merkley:

“The millions of Americans who have spent weeks organizing and mobilizing in cities across the country against President Trump’s dangerous Supreme Court nominee have a true champion in Sen. Merkley. Sen. Merkley has stood with the people—literally and figuratively—for years. His leadership is inspiring to all those resisting the Trump agenda and pushing for a better tomorrow. NARAL’s 1.2 million member-activists are proud to thank Sen. Merkley for working to protect the basic freedoms of all Americans from extreme ideological agendas.”

To thank Sen. Merkley for standing with us, NARAL today is presenting him with this thank you note from our members:
