Candidate in New York’s 22nd Congressional District Earns Endorsement from Nation’s Leading Pro-Choice Advocacy Group

NARAL Pro-Choice America today announced its endorsement of Anthony Brindisi in New York’s 22nd Congressional District. The seat is currently held by a first-term anti-choice Republican, and is considered a toss-up by the Cook Political Report.
“We need champions for reproductive freedom like Anthony Brindisi in Congress,” said Ilyse Hogue, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America. “As a member of New York’s Pro-Choice Legislative Caucus, Anthony has fought for the basic idea that women should be trusted to make our own healthcare decisions. He understands that’s key to gender equality, and that’s why we’re proud to support him as a Man for Choice. This race is key to establishing a pro-choice majority in the House of Representatives, and we’ll fight hard to see him elected.”

Brindisi has been a strong advocate for women and their reproductive rights his entire career. He is a member of the New York State Bipartisan Pro-Choice Legislative Caucus and has consistently voted in favor of legislation supporting reproductive health care and reproductive health care rights in New York.
