NARAL Pro-Choice America today announced its endorsement of Jason Crow for Congress in Colorado’s 6th Congressional District. Incumbent Republican Congressman Mike Coffman has a consistently anti-reproductive freedom record, and the district supported Hillary Clinton by nine points in 2016.
“Mike Coffman’s extreme anti-choice, anti-woman record does not reflect the voters or values of Colorado’s 6th Congressional district,” said Karen Middleton, Executive Director of NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado. “Mike Coffman has voted for abortion bans. He has voted to redefine rape. He has voted to defund Planned Parenthood. The women of CD6 deserve better. They deserve a Member of Congress like Jason Crow who will truly fight for them and their rights.”
“I am so proud to have the support of NARAL Pro-Choice America,” Crow said. “Our current Representative believes that Congress is entitled to make healthcare decisions for women and insurance companies should have the power to increase those costs as they see fit. I disagree. I will fight for women’s autonomy, for lower cost care, and for women to have a seat at the table when healthcare policy is debated. In the Army, I learned that you’re only as good as the team you build which is why I am so thrilled to have NARAL in my corner so I can work with them to help fight for all women in our country and community.”
A former Army Captain and Iraq combat veteran, Crow has been a passionate advocate for Colorado veterans and military families. In his professional life, he practices law at Holland & Hart, focusing on small business and regulation. His wife, Dr. Deserai Anderson Crow, is an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Denver. They have two young children.
