NARAL Pro-Choice America today announced its endorsement of Joe Neguse in Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District.
“Joe Neguse’s voice is needed in Washington to represent Colorado’s pro-choice values,” said Ilyse Hogue, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America. “We know he will be a champion for reproductive rights and we’ll work hard to get him elected.”
“I am deeply honored to receive NARAL’s support, and I look forward to fighting alongside NARAL in the fight for reproductive freedom and protecting the right to choose,” Neguse said.
Joe Neguse is a first-generation American, the son of Eritrean parents who met at a refugee camp before immigrating to Colorado. He is a co-founder of New Era Colorado, which engages young people in the political process. Neguse is an attorney, a graduate of the University of Colorado law school, and a former University of Colorado Regent. He and his wife Andrea live in Lafayette.
NARAL Pro-Choice America and its network of state affiliates are dedicated to protecting and expanding reproductive freedom for all Americans. NARAL works to guarantee that every woman has the right to make personal decisions regarding the full range of reproductive choices, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and choosing legal abortion. In recognition of its work defending our constitutional right to choose, Fortune Magazine described NARAL as “one of the top 10 advocacy groups in America.”
