O’Rourke Earns Endorsement from Nation’s Leading Pro-Choice Advocacy Group

NARAL Pro-Choice America today announced its endorsement of Congressman Beto O’Rourke in his campaign for the United States Senate in Texas. O’Rourke is challenging incumbent Senator Ted Cruz, one of the most vociferously anti-reproductive rights Senators in Washington. Cruz has consistently received a zero rating from NARAL Pro-Choice America for his extremism on opposing women’s health care, including access to contraception and abortion care.

Beto O’Rourke has been a pro-choice fighter and has made it his mission to improve women’s access to affordable and quality healthcare by ensuring that a woman’s right to choose is not compromised by limited access to safe and legal abortion services. During his time in Congress, O’Rourke has been a consistent and passionate advocate for reproductive healthcare. He co-sponsored the Protect Birth Control Act and was a vocal supporter of the EACH Woman Act that would provide equal access for abortion coverage. Under his leadership, he will continue the fight for reproductive freedom for Texas women.
