NARAL Pro-Choice America today announced its endorsement of Mike Levin in California’s 49th Congressional District.
“Californians deserve someone like Mike Levin who will be a fighter and an advocate for women and families and we are proud to endorse him,” said Ilyse Hogue, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America. “The threat to reproductive freedom is real and Californians need pro-choice champions in Congress representing them. Mike Levin has proved that he will make protecting the rights of women and families a top priority if elected.”
“We know that 8 in 10 Californians support a woman’s right to choose and Mike Levin will ensure that California’s values are finally represented along our southern coast,” said Amy Everitt, California State Director. “Mike knows what’s at stake and is the smart fighter we need in Congress to ensure that women can pursue their dreams and aspirations with dignity and respect. We are looking forward to working with Mike to ensure he wins.”

Mike Levin has made fighting for women’s rights a key focus in his campaign for Congress. He is an attorney and activist, and was previously the Executive Director of the Orange County Democratic Party. For the last two decades, he has been involved in a variety of local, state and federal progressive political campaigns. He is running in an open seat against an anti-choice Republican who has voted against requiring insurance companies to cover contraception, as well as multiple bills that would increase access to abortion.
