NARAL Pro-Choice America today announced its endorsement of Stephany Rose Spaulding in Colorado’s 5th Congressional District.

Wade in jeopardy and our rights under constant fire, now more than ever Coloradans need a passionate and trustworthy public servant like Stephany Spaulding who will stand up for their fundamental freedoms” said Ilyse Hogue, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America. “We are proud to support Spaulding and look forward to seeing her and other pro-choice champions win in November.”

Stephany Spaulding will be an advocate in Congress for a woman’s right to choose. She is the Chairman of the Women’s and Ethnic Studies Department at the University of CO in Colorado Springs, and is active in various social justice organizations in her community. Spaulding has long fought for women and their freedom to make decisions about their own health care. She is running against incumbent Republican Doug Lamborn, one of the most extreme anti-choice members of the House. Replacing Lamborn with a pro-choice leader like Stephany will be a key for women and families across Colorado.
