NARAL Pro-Choice America Thanks Bernie Sanders for His Commitment to Fighting for Reproductive Freedom

In response to news that Senator Bernie Sanders has dropped out of the race for the Democratic nomination for president, NARAL Pro-Choice America President Ilyse Hogue released the following statement:

“Senator Bernie Sanders brought passion, commitment and a valuable perspective to the Democratic primary, engaging people across the country with a bold vision for what the United States could look like. He made clear his commitment to safeguarding reproductive freedom as president, recently releasing a robust and thoughtful plan on reproductive rights, health, and justice. With so much on the line, we’re grateful for the role Sen. Sanders played in elevating the fight for our fundamental rights in this race, and we will double our efforts to make sure these ideas are carried forward.”
