New Hampshire — Today, New Hampshire voters reelected NARAL-endorsed incumbent Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH). Her victory marks a huge win for reproductive freedom and maintains a critical seat in the U.S. Senate.

In response to Senator Shaheen’s victory, NARAL Pro-Choice America President Ilyse Hogue released the following statement:

“We are proud to have endorsed Senator Shaheen, a proven champion for reproductive freedom, and congratulate her on winning this critical race. We know that Senator Shaheen will continue to be a fierce defender of our fundamental rights in the U.S. Senate—and we need elected officials like her now more than ever.”

Senator Shaheen has represented New Hampshire in the U.S. Senate since 2009. Shaheen is a vocal supporter of reproductive freedom and has consistently earned a 100% score from NARAL in the Congressional Record on Choice.

In the 2020 election cycle, NARAL Pro-Choice America ran its largest-ever electoral program designed to reach, persuade, and mobilize key voters in target states across the country who are motivated by Trump and Republicans’ unyielding attacks on reproductive freedom.
