Washington Last week, voters in Washington’s 8th Congressional District reelected NARAL-endorsed Rep. Kim Schrier to the U.S. House of Representatives. Schrier’s victory over anti-choice, anti-freedom Republican Jesse Jensen marks a huge win for reproductive freedom and keeps a critical seat in the House.

In response to Schrier’s victory, NARAL Pro-Choice America President Ilyse Hogue released the following statement:

“Rep. Kim Schrier is a bold supporter of reproductive freedom, and NARAL Pro-Choice America is thrilled to congratulate her on her victory in defeating Republican candidate Jesse Jensen. Schrier understands that reproductive freedom is a fundamental American value—and is willing to fight for it. NARAL was proud to have supported Schrier in this race to ensure that voters in Washington’s 8th Congressional District continue to be represented by somebody who will fight for their fundamental freedoms.”

NARAL endorsed Rep. Schrier as part of its largest-ever electoral program. NARAL reached over 3 million voters in key states including Washington through its historic 2020 electoral program.
