NARAL Pro-Choice America Responds to the Release of President Biden’s 2024 Budget

Washington, DC Today, President Joe Biden released his presidential budget to begin the annual process of funding the federal government. This year’s budget signaled the administration’s continued commitment to reproductive freedom, including by increasing key investments in the Title X family planning program and proposing a national family leave program that would provide up to 12-weeks of paid leave for family and medical reasons.

NARAL Pro-Choice America President Mini Timmaraju released the following statement in response:

“This presidential budget is a clear signal that the Biden-Harris administration won’t back down in the fight for reproductive freedom. As our country continues to face an urgent abortion access crisis, it is critical that we have the White House in our corner—and this budget shows that we do. We thank President Biden and Vice President Harris for their commitment to protecting our fundamental rights, as anti-choice Republicans plow ahead with their unpopular and dangerous agenda.  We look forward to partnering with the administration to continue to build on the values outlined in this proposal.”
