Prior to winning the Georgia special election in January 2021, Rev. Raphael Warnock was the Senior Pastor at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta.
Born and raised in Savannah, Sen. Warnock grew up with a family that, while often short on money, was long in faith, love, and humor. He graduated from Morehouse College, earning a Ph.D. and becoming ordained in the ministry.
Since then, he has been an advocate to expand healthcare coverage and ensure that hardworking Georgians can make a living wage. Warnock’s campaign for Senate was a continuation of his lifelong fight for civil rights, healthcare coverage, and a living wage.
